After an 18-month overhaul, Ford’s Theatre reopens this month for the premiere of The Heavens Are Hung in Black. The specially commissioned production pays tribute to Abraham Lincoln and kicks off a month of events honoring the life and legacy of the president, including the Lincoln Bicentennial Commemoration (February 12) and the Open House and Birthday Celebration (February 16). Among the extensive updates to the venue are new seating, a renovated lobby, and an improved sound and lighting system.
